This Week in Pokémon TCG: Delta Reign Revealed + Market Movers
Mega Rayquaza is coming back in November, Team Rocket takes over TCG Pocket, and we look at what’s moving in the market this week.
It’s been a busy week in the Pokémon TCG world. Here’s a quick roundup of the biggest news and market notes for collectors and players.
Mega Evolution — Delta Reign Officially Revealed
The biggest announcement of the week: Mega Evolution — Delta Reign is officially confirmed for a November 6, 2026 release.
The set brings back Mega Rayquaza ex for the first time since XY—Ancient Origins, alongside Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex. It also introduces a brand-new mechanic: Legendary Stadiums (split Stadium cards that form one complete card when both halves are played).
Expect over 135 cards, including 14 Illustration Rares and 6 Special Illustration Rares. Prerelease events run October 24 – November 1.
Team Rocket Hits Pokémon TCG Pocket
Team Rocket’s Ambition launches in Pokémon TCG Pocket on August 26. The expansion focuses on Team Rocket’s Pokémon and introduces new Trainer cards with the classic Rocket logo and schemes. New covers and backdrops featuring Giovanni and Persian arrive a few days later.
30th Celebration Continues to Tease
More cards from the upcoming 30th Celebration set (September 16) were shown this week, including looks at Lugia, Ho-Oh, and additional Pikachu artwork. The all-foil anniversary set is already generating strong interest among collectors.
Market Movers This Week
- Climbing: Older chase cards, especially Evolving Skies Umbreon VMAX Alt Art, continue to see steady upward pressure.
- Cooling off: Several recent Mega Evolution Special Illustration Rares (from Ascended Heroes and Pitch Black) have pulled back from their post-release highs — a normal correction after the initial hype.
- Sealed interest: Older Black & White era sealed product remains very strong, with notable sales continuing to climb.
Overall the market feels a bit quieter than the early summer frenzy, which is typical as we head into the next major set cycle.
Looking Ahead
The 2026 Pokémon World Championships are just around the corner at the end of this month, and the 30th Celebration set is only a few weeks away. Then all eyes turn to Delta Reign in November.
As always, we’ll keep the shop stocked with the cards and sealed product you’re looking for. Stay tuned for more updates!
